We
own a ‘97 White TJ. It was stock when we bought it 6 months ago. It had the
two top option and rims with 30 inch tires. It came from the factory with a
manual 5 speed AX-15 transmission and Dana 35c rear axle. I’m
in the process of modifying my Jeep. Some of these “mods” are just common
that most everyone does. Others, are not so normal. These are the fun ones! I
have several projects in the works as I type this, and some that have been
completed. The projects to come include a Ford Explorer 8.8 rear axle
conversion. I also have a new Dana 30 front axle with 4.56 gears and ARB. Why
a new Dana 30? I got the whole things already set up for $400. Laying on the
floor next to the axles are boxes that contain new Rubicon Express Long Arm
4.5” lift. I’m also making plans to
put in a flipped Dana 300 to gain drive shaft length. The granddaddy of all
these projects will be the AW-4 automatic transmission from a 2001 Cherokee. As
our Jeep continues on it way to perfection, I will update this page.
Hopefully it will provide help to someone. BTW if you have any questions or suggestion
email. I will be more than happy to respond to them. This is my first web
page. It is rough. Suggestion are welcome. |
